From my first contact with Norbury Hall, I have been impressed with the understanding expressed by the new management team while making the difficult decisions for people who we care for. I have witnessed that a resident came directly from hospital, the manager liaised with the hospital for her arrival home. The staff are genuinely kind and caring. The food is good - the residents have a good number of activities. This home is a good place to be in and I definitely say this is a home away from your home.

No recommended at all, worst care home ever I see in my life.

We have been impressed with this care home. Despite our initial concerns as to how our relative would settle the experience has been good. The staff seem caring and respectful of their residents. Particularly impressive is the large numbers of activities that residents enjoy. The surrounding park where residents are taken out is great. And, they even have a resident dog...making this much more like a home than an institution. Our relative has been here for 2 years. She is cared for very well considering the circumstances. Much of this good care is down to good professional management.

The worst thing you could do to your loved one is to bring it to this place! I had my mother stay here for a few month while we were in the process of searching for a proper care home. The place is a total disaster: the food is anything but nutritious, mostly coming from cans and no greens; not enough staff to provide with a proper personal care or hygiene (my mother had to wait hours at a time sometimes to be taken to the toilet and had to do it in her pants....). While visiting I once tried to find care worker for my mom and stumbled on a staff room which was a 3 square meters dark space with no windows and a few wooden chairs... So they don't even care for they staff... Please do yourself and your loved one a favor and avoid this care home at all costs.

I visit regularly at different time of day and have always found the staff polite and friendly. The home is clean and the residents are happy. They do so many activities which is what initially attracted me and it's a really well run care home. They even have dogs that come in that belong to some of the staff, it's a great environment.
