What a wonderful place! The show was great, Greg is brilliant so entertaining and he does create a friendly atmosphere filled with knowledge and giggles, fun and relaxing afternoon out. Always filled with shows and programs, you want to do something different and to expand your general knowledge than this is the right place to visit. (Great for dates too!) The views are phenomenal you can look out over London, see my pics. There is a steep hill to walk up to the observatory, once you up it is well worth it. The sunset light made it even more magical. Highly recommend, already thinking about the next time we can visit.

It is a decent exhibition about the planetarium astronomy and the Hubble space telescope. You only have to pay for the planetarium the others are free Many amazing information about our little known galaxy. For example the fact the light of the stars are traveling so long basically when we see it that image it is not an existing state of the object anymore. Therefore what you see is the past. So that's how they do it. Little cafe and gift shop will waiting you there.
An absolutely wonderful experience! The tickets were good value and the surroundings beautiful. Who would have thought my kids would sit through a thirty minute narrated documentary about dark matter? Well, they did and I didn't hear a peep out of them throughout, except the odd "wow"! The Planetarium is modern, comfortable and really impressive to behold, from the exterior 'dome' to the interior 'cinema'... The experience is half way between watching a movie on a huge screen and riding a rollercoaster and is genuinely exciting... We'll be back!!
Excellent presentation on Mars. Social distancing all in place. Very informative. Staff excellent.
Fun and educational place in the centre of Greenwich Park and part of the observatory. The theatre show is really immersive and educational - take your seat, the lights go down and you're introduced to the solar system above you. Was also showing the Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition when I visited.
I've been to see three shows at the planetarium now and I've had a great time every time. The first was an "asteroid mission" which I think was a temporary show which isn't showing any more. The second time I saw "the sky tonight" which shows you current sky as you would see it without cloud cover and light/air pollution based on the specific tilt and the rotation of the Earth. That was very informative and pretty enchanting. The third time I went, I saw a show about the moons in the solar system which was incredibly illustrative and informative. Each time, it's been a fantastic experience to sit back and gaze into the domed ceiling as it transforms itself into the solar system and beyond. This is great for kids too, as they also have shows that are more geared towards children. While you wait, there are some great free exhibitions to see around the history of space discovery, and space photography. The park around the planetarium is also fantastic. This would make a great day out, with enough to do to last at least a few hours in the area.
Beautiful place, outstanding views. The best way to reach there is to take a Thames cruise from Westminster to Greenwich.
The planetarium on the whole was an okay experience. The planetarium show itself was a big let down. Reason the entire show was almost a slideshow view , make matters worse we had a “computer glitch” , which to be fair, was resetted in seconds but ruined the experience . I wouldn’t recommend being a member as they would try to sell it to you. It’s definitely not worth being a member . This is a definitely one time experience only.
