I went to send a prepaid letter and asked for proof of sending but customer service assistant severing me at the counter refused to provide me a receipt at first and later on reluctantly provided a receipt. He Was talking very rudely for absolutely no reason.

I see a lot of negative comments (which are 100% accurate) and specifically the guy with vitiligo, do not care for his name sorry but I’m sure he’s famous for his rude, disgraceful and unprofessional behaviour so everyone knows him. I’ve been going to this post office for the last 6/7 years just because of convenience as it’s so close to my house unfortunately. I tend to keep minimal conversation and get my business done quick before they start barking rude stuff at me. I think some of the staff needs to be removed or at least confronted. Just look at the way they are replying to the reviews. lol they are claiming the 99% people here fake because they are negative (accurate) and 1% “Real person”. This is depressing for them because it looks like those 1% are their own accounts
Last Thursday 28/01/21 I arrived at the post office at 4:45pm, there was a small queue with a customer standing outside and 2 customers inside the post office already being served. An assistant came to me and told me that the lady (who was standing outside) is the last person in the queue and they will close the post office after her. I was in rush, because I just finished work and wanted to post an urgent parcel, I thought if I arrive 15mins before closing it would be enough. I kindly asked the assistant to call the person in charge for me. A lady was rushing to me and shouting “Who wants to speak to me?”. I told her about my parcel and my limited time and she was pointing on the door showing me the opening hours, on my watch it was still 4:47pm in that moment so I asked her again if they can accept my parcel. She replied on a really rude way which I have never experienced in UK “You should get up early next time and come here in time, we will close this office now, I have to feed my children”... I thanked for her “rudeness” and moved on, because as I said I had to post my parcel on that afternoon really urgently. I tried to call Royal Mail Customer Service straightaway to report her, but obviously it would have taken ages to get an agent via phone so I stopped the call halfway. Luckily I went to Whitechapel Post Office E1 1BJ and I managed to post my parcel. I got there at 5pm and they were closing at 5pm also, but the manager was really kind and opened the door for me which was already locked. It just depends on the person and their helpfulness. Never ever go to Philpot Post Office again, will not recommend to anyone either. 0/5
Sanjay, George and all the girls working there are great! As local business owner these guys have offered great customer service, banter and advice. I see negative reviews and I simply don't believe it. The best Post Office ever!!!
