Good atmosphere and great spot for drinks but the place is let down by the kitchen... an interesting menu with high ambitions, but the result was underwhelming... The food was under-seasoned, our fish course was overcooked etc. I would expect better quality to match the ambition of the restaurant.

Worst dining experience I've ever had in my life. It's really dirty there, the staff is rude and the service a nightmare. The server got angry at us for no apparent reason, he then told us in a snarky tone that if we didn't intend to order anything to eat then we weren't welcome there. It then took them close to 40 minutes just to get the drinks we ordered, at that point the beer and soda were warm and had lost most of its carbonation. When we asked for them to replace the drinks the server only shrugged at us and turned to some other customers. We then had to wait another 25 minutes until the food came, not only that but it was cold food that we hadn't even ordered. At that point we tried to get in touch with the server with no luck. He ignored us completely. We got up and went and paid for the two warm drinks that we got at the bar. Never again.

I went for the bar and oysters, not the hotel. The place is a little rough and service is cool and relaxed. Oyster are big and amazing!! 5 stars for the oysters and white wine but only 2 for the place.

We only popped in for a drink to escape the sun, however were pleasantly surprised! Quirky place, very friendly staff, good beer, interesting decor, this place has it all! I especially liked reading the history of the place on the card in each table. An excellent little pub!

A local recommended this place to us and we loved it! The food was delicious and the service was great. This area isn't very touristy at all, very local. Loved it. I'll be back next time!
