Living in Notting Hill has the advantage of giving you access to the very efficient Portobello Medical centre. They provide walk-in consultation every morning, which is a blessing. The walk-in isn't overcrowded and we are taken seriously and we're listened to. Dr Selvarajah is very professional and takes the time to investigate the root causes of our symptoms and relies on appropriate medical procedures for this, mostly by interpreting extensive blood test results and when in doubt by referring us to specialists. Appointments are recommended and can be booked online or through the reception. It used to be difficult to book online as the places filled up quickly by since the 1st of August 2019 more afternoon slots are provided. All staff is polite and responsive.

Why bother? wait 2-3 hrs, referral letter never sent, records lost … if you need treatment you should not have to wait weeks and chase people several times. In other places, you just book an appointment with whatever doctor you need, and there is even preventive care. it could just be as easy, efficient and cheap for the system as this. But no, it should not be.

Getting an appointment is fairly quick. Both Dr Selvarajah and Dr Neilan are excellent GPs who really give the impression that they care about all their patients. Often the difference between a good GP and one that is perceived negatively is just this element. Very happy!

If you want to be seen by the GP the same day or by appointment, the best place to go is Portobello medical centre. The entire staff are caring and concern, friendly and maintaining professional standards of service. I and my family are so very thankful for the excellent care I have received regularly specially from Dr. SELVARAJAH. she is very caring, incredibly friendly and professional.Thank you so much for providing such wonderful service!
