Good selection of costumes but extremely expensive; I wanted to buy some costumes and had a pretty good budget (1,000); went for a fitting, which was great, but they came back with a price of 700 for only some of the items and to rent rather than to buy, which wasn't what I wanted at all and felt that 700 with nothing at the end of it was way too much, particularly when they were going to make one of the items bespoke; it made me feel that I was being charged to fill their inventory. When I told them I didn't want to go ahead with the quote provided they tried to then charge for 30 for the fitting - I complained and the charge was removed, but overall I felt I hadn't been listened to about my commercial requirements (although the artistic requirements were well catered for). If you have a huge budget it's a great place as the selection is good, but be careful to explicitly go over what you want to avoid being disappointed, be super careful to understand what they are charging you for, and don't sign the order form until you read it fully (there is a 30 charge in the tiny small print that they don't mention until you get slapped with the fee).

I went to them looking for a historical costume for the Venice Carnival and end up leaving with something so much better. You need to make an appointment but was able to be seen that day. They didn't have the traditional dress but a much more fantastical version of one. The stylists were great. Every time I tried something on and asked if it was too much they said NO. It almost seemed \You can never have too much.\ was their mottos and it was great. Then it was my partners turn and he loved his costume every bit as mine. The best thing was the price, 4 days with what seemed like as many extras you could get on all within the same price. They even put it all in a suitcase for me. On the day of pick up there were a few alterations that needed making AND we added even more accessories to it. Both stylists were so helpful and great. I enjoyed the entire experience. Just going in there to try on all the costumes would be a fun day in itself. Everyone at Venice loved our outfits. We looked so different to everyone else who was in traditional dress. I can't recommend them enough. I would say you should go into it with 2 visits in mind though just to ensure everything is just right when you walk out the door with it. 1 the original search which can take quit some time as there is SO much to see and the 2 to try it all on again to make sure everything is right. Some stitching may need doing that you didn't see previously or you may want to add something else. So leave some time for that too.
