A great little walk, especially in wet and muddy situations as the kids loved it.

Wonderful park for walking, cycling, rollerblading; beautiful landscapes, well kept and you find water to cool off in the summer. Every time I visit this park, it is very relaxing to be there. ️
Lovely scenery along the river paths but there are hardly any bins so there's a constant litter problem. Worst of all is the multitude of cyclists who ride way too fast down the paths and over the bridges and use it as a cut through from Catford to Sydenham. You have to have eyes in the back of your head if you are walking your dog - a lot of people are very upset by them..
I love this park. It has really grown on me over time, it is beautiful in a wild, unofficial countryside sort of way. River and railway both add to it, forms part of a long line of walks, great for exploring London suburbia on foot. Slight downer is that foot and bike traffic are mixed, not a major issue but can be annoying if you have small kids. Not sure there is an answer though as would be a shame to sacrifice green space.
Its beautiful there. A lovely place to walk.
