I love this shop! Great range of products and friendly staff. ( I guess it might depend on the day because I see there’ve been some negative reviews re customer service, but I have always found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable). Robert Dyas saves me from trekking further afield using the dreaded Amazon for so many useful things… This month it has been a frying pan, baking sheet, fabric dye, moth repellent and a salad spinner! Great to have a comprehensive homeware and hardware shop on Putney High Street.

Poor service no respect for customers

This shop is located on the right side of Putney High Street next to Dentist and the spotted horse Pub, sells household products electrical. I found the staff not helpful, indeed took a huge effort to get them to acknowledge me, after waiting ten minutes I left the store and went on to purchase from another store a tenner cheaper! I have voted with my feet! I used to enjoy pottering around the Dyas store, brilliant bargains can be had A question though what's with the strange smell that pervades through the shop?

Apparently robert dyas does not accept returns if you have taken the product home, opened it and looked at it. I got the hammer drill opened the box and realised it’s not a combi drill that i wanted as it had a screw driver attached to it so i closed the box and took it to robert dyas to return it. I was told because i have opened the box they cant take it back. My question is if you cant see the product how can you be sure if you want it or not? Very disappointed, never going there again
