I was really impressed with this studio. The space was cosy and tasteful. The teacher was kind and realistic about what we could achieve in the session. I had a look at other studios where they do most of the work for you and I felt a lot of pressure to be good right away. At SkandiHus it’s very relaxed. They tell you that nobody is going to throw clay on a wheel for the first time and whip up a vase, so they don’t make you do that. I’m proud of what I made and it’s a nice momento of a great afternoon. I would look do it again in a heartbeat.

I have just finished a 6 week course at the Clapton studio, and totally fell in love with making pottery. Our tutor was really helpful and encouraging, and taught us all the basics of hand building, throwing and glazing in the bright and peaceful studio. I came away from each class feeling a renewed sense of relaxation and creativity. It was great to do something practical (and messy!) too. I look forward to picking up my pieces, and would recommend a course to anyone interesting in trying out pottery.

I did the 12 week course with no previous experience and I can honestly say it was one of the best investments I have made. Not only did I learn a lot during that time but it provided me with a change to rediscot my creativity and escape the stresses of everyday life and feeling of anxiety! I would recommend it to anyone thinking about joining. Thanks Chris!

My partner and I went to Skandihus for a pottery taster session with the teacher Bára. This was my first pottery experience and I absolutely loved it! The class was planned out well, I felt like the explanations were absolutely ideal for newbies like us, we were guided through the process very well but there was a lot of room for creativity too. I don't think it could have gone better and I can't wait to see the finished pieces! They also changed the process and the working stations for Corona protection which was great, definitely felt professional and safe.

This is my favourite pottery studio in London. The space is so welcoming and you always feel in expert hands with their amazing classes. Highly recommend to anyone from absolute beginners to well trained folks. Go check it out!

I bought a taster session for my friends birthday as she wanted to try something new. We had a wonderful time making little pinch bowls. It’s such a relaxing space and the teacher was so helpful and patient. Cant wait to come back! Highly recommend!

My partner bought me a wheel throwing taster course for my birthday and couldn’t have picked a better studio! The tutor was patient and explained everything really clearly and took the time to give one to one support. I’m a total beginner and managed to produce 3/4 small pots during the session and I chose the best to be fired. I was having some challenges around mental health at the time and I found this class to be a perfect calming, hands-on activity in a beautiful setting. The class was such a positive experience it has inspired me to pursue my interest in clay. I’m booking more classes here again soon! Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

I finally found time to sign up for a Skandihus course after so many years of admiring Stine’s story and her work. The sessions fly by and after a rush across London to get to the studio after work, I think about nothing else but the clay in my hands for the whole session. I couldn’t recommend the course enough
