Finally booked an appointment online after a much needed eye test as my eyesight has gotten worse. Nice and straight forward booking process online, however I got a phone call later asking why I needed an eye test exactly so they could adhere to covid measures. They confirmed my reasons were essential enough but I could only get an eye test if I was to buy glasses then and there on the spot after my appointment. I solely needed a new prescription and wanted to keep my options open to look for glasses from other opticians via online looking for deals. The persons telephone manner was great, but very disappointed with Specsavers and I don’t think I’ll ever consider them as my opticians in future. Being forced into buying a product isn’t really a good way to go about business, looks like I’ll have to try find another place to book with.

I had a really good experience. I went in to get my eyes tested- which was really efficient- by the optician Shilpa. She was lovely and answered all my questions really well. Then a gentleman called Birju helped me pick out glasses. I am very picky with glasses shape- and he helped me get a pair that really suited me! A gentleman named Dev then looked after me and he was very kind and professional. Thank you for you help- and highly recommend this specsavers

The customer service is good but to be honest the opticians needs to be replaced. I got my eye test done early this year but the prescription was too strong for both the distance and reading. Then went back again in a months time and upon another eye test the prescription was found to be lower than the previous one and that too with a different optician. Even then the distant prescription was still very strong and I never wore my glasses and didn’t even bother to go to them again as I lost my trust in them. I got my eyetest done again now a month ago by a local optician and found out my prescription is a lot more lower than what they have prescribed to me and I feel more relaxed and comfortable for driving especially. Yes they are cheap but cheap stuff costs a lot at times.
