This spot is worth a try. They have large portions for fair prices. Regularly well kept and with awesome mood. I highly recommend this place.

A 5 minute walk from Old Street Tube station, this place is easy to miss. No big lights or imposing signs trying to attract your attention but instead signage and a front of house that simply blends in unassumingly with the surrounding area. Nice bar upstairs with plenty of seating and a relaxed and comfortable feel. The restaurant is downstairs and it has a wonderful homely feel to it. The staff are knowledge about both the food and drinks menu. We arrived late (we called to let them know) and even though there was a booking following us, they accommodated us and the food was promptly served and of course... tasty. I'm giving this place 3 stars as we only had mains (our fault for being late) but I'll be returning to sample all 3 courses and I'm expecting to give this little gem at least 4 stars

We booked for Thanksgiving dinner here as it was a feature of their restaurant and we were here on Holiday during Thanksgiving. Booking was easy, but required a 20 pound deposit that had to be made via filling out a PDF and emailing back. It was in a cool part of the city and the decoration was irreverent, but not overstated and had a lovely family atmosphere. Waitresses were more than nice, albeit a little spread thin. O can't speak the the typical food, but the Thanksgiving menu was very much aligned with the traditional American meal. It's hard to know if it was my American tastebuds or not, but the meal seemed to be a little heavy handed in seasoning. The gravy instead of being rich and comforting was a little vinegary. The turkey was well cooked without being overcooked (still tender/juicy). Cranberry sauce was DELIGHTFUL, and the veg was average. The dessert missed the mark as the pecan pie was over-baked, but came with a little American flag, so points for style. The squash soup was my favorite with strong garlic overtones and a truffle oil finish. Can't speak to the drinks as I am unable to drink alcohol for now. Would love the opportunity to try the regular menu, and would come back just for the atmosphere.

Good atmosphere, steak was cooked very adequately. The wine however was absolutely top notch (a Californian vintage surprisingly but amazing). I would recommend, the service was nice and warm. A slightly better value considering the quality would make this 5 stars.

Tender chateaubriand steak. A bit undercooked (Ordered Medium-rare but it was actually more like rare) but still delicious! Twice cooked chips and English salads on sides are the perfect match with steak. Starters were not as good as steak. Smoked mackerel (starter) was juicy, soft but a bit too salty. Steak tartare had some Asian chilli sauce in, which was quite weird. Very stylish, good atmosphere for couples or friends.
