A coworker of mine told me about this place. She said her daughter had gone here to seek refuge because she was pregnant and didn’t want to run back home I have no idea of their personal relationship with their daughter but she seemed pretty concerned about her daughter and her future grandchild. This place doesn’t seem like much but for whatever reason I get that weird feeling whenever I would pass by and now I know why. My coworker said that the people running it tried to persuade her daughter to give them her baby for adoption. I’m sorry but what?!?!?? If your a “Christian” safe haven for young mothers shouldn’t you be trying to assist them in getting back on their feet? Just beware of this place there are always better avenues to go to nowadays.

I guess you can say this is a biased review because my parents are the founders of this organization but I myself have been a mother in this program when i became pregnant and ended up on the street myself. Before you can even fill out an application at his nesting place, there is a policy book that has rules and regulations, it takes over 30 minutes to go through this book to make sure before you move into the home you know what you're getting yourself into. When i lived here i did not follow these policies, in fact i was there just to have a place to stay, that is not what this home is meant for, it is a place for you to grow, to change and to better your life for you and your children. Although i did not graduate from this program like the way i wish i would have i still changed my life around and now work along side with my parents in the home now. And as a staff member of this home I see hands on the community we deal with here. The negative reviews on here are done out of retaliation when they are being asked to leave. We never just put mothers out on the street, we give them time and resources they need to make sure they are safe as they exit. There are times when they have to be asked to leave immediately or are escorted by police when threats or violence is being shown. Prior to moms being asked to leave, we issue write ups and warnings until we have no choice but to let them go. This is a program, it's set in place for the moms here to benefit from. Some people can say it's a \cult\ but it is a private, Christian, loving home. We are open for tours if you'd like to see it yourself. Know your rights as a human being. They only want you if you are helpless and can control you. Was asked to leave but on discharge papers it said I was voluntarily leaving. I wrote my own statement on the back stating that they wanted me to leave because i would not leave my new born baby with them to attend a movie event. As I tried to take a picture of my statement the head lady at the time named Penny slapped the paper out of my hand in front of Dianna who is in charge of finance and while I had my son in my hand and I grabbed the paper while she grabbed my phone and when I tried to run out of the room she nudged me back. You can hear their daughter Geri in the back yelling for me to just leave and as I asked for my money which they promised to start saving once you been there for 6 months (please get everything in writing from them) was told I was not going to get my money unless I apologized. While I was there there were rats and roaches and also plenty of gout worms in the bathtubs. I was told to stand during a ceremony where They announced that I and some others said no to abortion (looking to get credit) when that was not the situation with any of us. They get donated gifts from all over to make a special Christmas and never forget to throw it in your face about what they are doing. Christians right? Was confronted about adopting my baby and although I said no she kept pushing it and I left mid conversation. They do not help you elevate yourself either you know your plan or you’re stuck in their program. I’m hoping everything comes to light for them because what I thought would have been a blessing turned into a lesson and I’ve been greatly blessed every since I left! Pastor Al and Ms. Judy are saints ! Doing God's work day in and day out. They have dedicated their entire life to helping mother's like myself catch a break. I was able to change my life forever thanks to this ministry. I would not be here today if it wasn't for HNP and their dedicated staff. The mom that lived in the room next to me is still my very dear friend till this day...13 years later! I miss cooking in the kitchen with all my sisters in Christ. This will forever be home. 5 stars all the way!
