We were have a baby delivered in this hospital and stay for 3 nights. The whole experience is not that great when I compare to the St Davis Hospital in Texas, which I have my second child delivered recently. The nurse are not that careful and compassionate. The first night when my wife try to breast feeding, but her body still not ready yet. We ask nurse for formula to feed my son some he won’t get hungry, but they refuse to provide the formula! And insist to let my wife try breast feeding and eventually he only got one or two drop that he was so hungry and crying all night long, which depressed us during the time so much, mentally and physically. And the nurses still not provide the formula! And the nurses only show you how to change diapers and swaddled the baby once, and say daddy, you’ll need to do this things on your own, well, I’m a newbie dad during the time... Now we have my second one, the nurses in St Davis hospital are friendly and understandable, we have same situation that my wife breast feeding can’t offer enough for the baby, the nurses will provide formula with our need and not enforcing breast feeding. The nurses of St Davis also help us to change diapers and swaddled the baby every time they come, also friendly ask us what we need for every visit. I just realized how bad the nurses of MemorialCare are during the time to compare the experience with the St Davis Texas hospital nurses. I realize that’s should be the care and experience I expected for paying so much for hospital stay. MemorialCare was just provide awful experience compare to those good one. I won’t recommend anyone delivery their babies in this hospital

My mom was a cancer patient here in 2016. She passed away in May 2016. I am grateful to the Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach staff and the young, but kind oncology doctors in training who treated her. I can't remember everyone's name, but I remember their faces and the kindness and sympathy they offered. I pray to this day, that God blesses them and their families.

My sister in law gave birth here and I went to go visit her. I found the staff very kind and cheerful. My sister in law was very well taken care of from the staff. The hospital looked clean and well maintained. Parking was very accessible. There was plenty of signage to know where you are going and if you got lost there was staff always directing you to the right place.
