Mc Nally Motors was founded in 1962 by the late Tom McNally in the town of Lanesborough, on the banks of the river Shannon. In the following years, the business steadily gained a reputation for providing reliable quality cars at good value and an excellent aftersales service. With his passion for cars and motor sports growing, Tom showed off his talent by winning the first Midland Moto Stages Rally in 1968 together with his co-driver Derek Johnston driving a Mini Cooper. Following this success, the business grew and a new outlet was opened in Rooskey where Tom was joined by his good friend Mr Jackie Evans. In 1972, the founder of Toyota Ireland the late Dr Tim Mahony brought the Japanese brand to Ireland and we were both fortunate and proud to be one of his first Main Toyota Dealers appointed the following year. The decision was made to move the business to the town of Longford in 1976. Today, McNally Motors Toyota is a family run business managed by Tom’s son, Paul McNally, together with his wife Aine who looks after customer support and brother Martin in marketing and social media. The third generation are now also lending a hand from time to time gaining experience in various aspects of the business.
