Warning for parents seeking a paediatric assessment. Inappropriate and unprofessional to say the very least. I have just had to walk my pre prep out of an appointment after David O'Neil found it appropriate to belittle our 5 year olds ability to recognise a number and giving me the unsolicited advice that he should be able to recognise these numbers before he starts school ( this week) . With absolutely no background on my son other than age and previous prescription this advice was well out of his professional capacity, unhelpful and potentially damaging. When I questioned him on this, his response indicated that he believed he knew better than our sons current educators as to where he should be at academically as he is a Paediatric Optometrist. If I could give less than one star I would.

David is highly professional and takes as long as necessary to describe his observations. On one occasion when I needed prompt referral to an Ophthalmologist, David secured an appointment for me on the spot and my first consultation was within 2 hours. Thank you David. What a refreshing change to receive 1st class service from an optometry appointment on the 1st July 2019. David took the time to explain all aspects of my examination. Excellent range of eye wear at all price ranges. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.
