The best restaurant experience I've had in Loreto without comparison, without a doubt. Live music filled the space with amazing energy and joy, everyone was clearly happy to be there, enjoying the jazzy tunes and their drinks and food. The place is not enclosed, in the open, yet the feeling was like being at home, cozy, comfortable, inviting, relaxed. The food was super delicious and light and everything you want a dish to be after a very hot Baja Sur day. For dinner I had the seared tuna encrusted in black sesame with a delicious salad tossed in a citrus dressing, and describing it now makes my mouth water all over again. The restaurant is not on any major road, and I was lucky enough to have been taken there by a local friend, this actually made me feel not as a tourist, as I have been made to feel in most any other place I've been (even though I am actually originally from Mexico City myself). I'd give it ten stars, and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to experience a different Loreto than the typical tourist formulas. From what I understand they also offer yoga lessons some mornings, and are developing the back of the property as a glamping option to stay, with all services and a nice pool. If you go to Loreto DO NOT MISS OUT on the Black Bird!

Such a great experience! Delicious drinks, good food, good people and great vibes. We left with our hearts full and with lifelong friends. The owner Penelope was a gem and we had a great, warm conversation! Loved the outdoor patio lit up in the evening by beautiful lanterns hanging from the gorgeous trees. We shall be back!

Amazing place. A little like Flora Farms in San Jose Del Cabo. Amazing food. All fresh fantastic. Will be back in January and be here for the food and music.

Wonderful atmosphere in a large space. Would be ideal for a large gathering or event but also has cozy and comfortable areas for small groups or couples to dine. Great menu and wonderful staff. Live music featured most evenings. Highly recommend.

Magical place, people and food. Thank you Penelope and Mariana! Our Valentines dinner at Black Bird set a high bar for future romantic evenings... AND it all started with a wonderful break here two days before. We are so glad we met you and began our culinary journey in Loreto at your wonderful restaurant. May you succeed in every way. Blackbird is back! We were lucky enough to catch Los Beach Dogs the first night after their being gone for months, with the talented Jill Jackson, the amazing Ruben on guitar, and three other great musicians whose name I did not catch doing Stevie Ray Vaughan, Doobie Brothers, Aretha, and lots of mostly 70s favorites. Owner Penelope was on the following night, whose star really shines when she is singing songs in Spanish you have never heard of but want to again in her beautiful voice. The food is great, too -- a fruit and cheese board and a terrific tropical salad were both highlights of two great evenings served by Emilio, a great source of local information. We'll be back for the Latin music at breakfast which we have not tried yet.
