Bought home security cameras and they work great. The quality of video is good, you can hear what others are saying, and the night vision id good for streets without street lights. Overall a good product for the price and there is no monthly fee depending on they security system you buy.

***BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE*** Bought a 8 camera system for a new retail store. Ordered on dec 22 as I needed the system installed by Jan 19th. Received the items Jan 6th after delay due to a shipping address error. Went to install the products Jan 11th and come to find out that we missing 4 cameras. Called support right away as I need the cameras installed for the 19th deadline. Told this cant be done. Was sent an email about sending a picture of the products packaged when I opened the box. Instead I send a picture of the products laid out on the floor for the install. This picture was not acceptable on there end as they wanted me to pack the box as how I got it....... I advise that i am 2 hours away from store and if there is another solution. I am told there is not and I cant speak to a manager for another solution. So, no fault on my own I am out the 700 for the system as 4 cameras are enough for coverage Out the deadline for my store. And now going to purchase cameras from another company! I have worked in customer service for 12 years and this is an example on how to lose customers and future business. Edit So you want me to put everything back in the shipping box to satisfy?

I have purchased several Lorex systems before and this will be my last. I purchased a new 4k system to upgrade an older one during a Black Friday special. I narrowed it down to two and they were same price. I chatted with representative and found out that one system had optical zoom and the other did not. When I received the product I found out it did not have optical zoom and was misled. When I contacted their customer service she pretty much told me they don't save their chats and it would be on me to prove it. I found out that Lorex had updated their website so obviously they caught their mistake but would not honor it. The smart motion alerts are not as described either. I have made several attempts with technical support. They are very rude and only recite to you the user manual. Problem is the manual doesn't say much about the smart alerts. Their customer service is overseas and they get silent on you. They act like they are no longer there when you ask the hard questions and then hang up on you. I had this happen twice to me. If you purchase a system you are pretty much on your own. I do not recommend Lorex any longer because of this.

I had purchased a system from Lorex on the net. It appeared as though everything went through. The next email I received from them was an email asking for a pic of I.d. and something with my name and address on it. With all of the fraud that is happening I was reluctant. They cancelled the transaction and so I complained to them that I thought it was a scam by someone else. Their response was rude and not something you would expect from a large company who deals in security. Perhaps they should require the pics of proof of name and address when purchasing. Customer service is lacking.

Fraudulent services from Lorex purchase. Lorex told me to send my recall monitoring system due to battery defect. Fire exploding battery could start fire. After sending my return for a refund, they never send me the amount and they made me buy new cameras at full price, lying about my refund that would be credited to the new order. I have called corporate and they will not talk to me or reply to my emails. Please be aware of this so it doesn't happen to you. Thanks for reading.
