Do not use this Company!! They have debited my account of 178 with no explanation. On ringing they said it was for a damaged glove compartment. It was perfectly fine when we dropped it off but even asking twice the rep would not check the vehicle over when handing it back as he was too busy! My credit card company are now trying to get my money back from them. I ignored all other reviews of this Company but I now wish I had heeded advice and not used them.

Awful car hire company. My flight took off late destined for Murcia. At the last minute, air traffic control diverted us to Alicante and they then bussed us to Murcia. At that time there was no one available anywhere. I contacted Dickmanns the next day to go and collect my car and they said to me that, as I didn't collect it the day before, the booking has now been cancelled!!! The car is probably still there, it hadn't been used, I didn't want any refund of a days lost car hire, nothing. But they refused to give me the car! Won't be using this company again and I advise other people not to use them either!!!
If I could give this dodgy company a zero mark I would! Weeks after my return from Spain they phoned me and asked for passport number, driving license number, home address etc with no reason given for requiring this info. I refused to give info over the phone due to it being a possible scam. They then started emailing me still failing to advise why this info was required. I was suspicious that this was a scam and so didn't supply the info. They then took an unauthorised payment of 300 from my credit card without prior notification and without giving me a deadline for supplying the info. Without informing me that a penalty would be applied in the event of not supplying info. They subsequently said this is a penalty for failing to give info. I did give the info but they failed to retain it/lost it - their mistake! Told me it's illegal to hire a car without supplying details. If they didn't take my details they wouldn't have allowed me to take the car. I am taking legal action against them for taking money/stealing money from my account without authority which must be illegal surely. This is all due to an error on their part because they failed to retain my info when I collected and returned the hire vehicle which I will add was in perfect condition on return. They are now refusing to talk to me. Their final Response to me in an email was "no further comment!" They know every trick in the book to extort money from you. Also, why have they retained my credit card details weeks after the rental was finished? Suspicious!!!! Avoid like the plague!!!
Avoid like you would any snake , waited 6 weeks to get my credit card excess returned , but they never repaid the fuel I put in on my return , their T&Cs clearly say they will take around 30euros which I was happy with so 5 months later nothing repaid , you can contact Dickmanns or Do you Spain , all crooks . They should be shutdown
I have used this firm many times but they are now withholding almost 1000 deposit with no correspondence whatsoever, three weeks over the 25 days terms and conditions. I will be passing this onto my credit card company, insurer and start legal proceedings in Spain. I expect an answer! No answer another week! Another week still no money or an answer, credit card company now informed. Another week it was rented in July! Now 70 days. Now 20th October 80 days since car returned and no correspondence whatsoever from Dickmanns, they owe me 1000
Hired a car from these guys for 10 days. Overall I found them very friendly and helpful, even let me have addition driver for free the car hire worked out all in at 17 euros a day with supercover... will deffo be using them again in June. So what if they operate out of a van! Just walk straight out of airport and turn left into the car park... saves queuing up in a stuffy terminal !
Had to wait 5 months with many phone calls to Dickman and complaints to Barclaycard before getting my deposit refunded. Very poor
Have used Dickmanns before but forgot to tell me car had to be dropped back to the airport car park and not the office.
