Dr. Fleishman is the reason I still have a father. He was denied the option for surgery on his heart failure by 3 other doctors at different hospitals. After meeting my father, Dr. Fleishman was able to visably see that my father had a potential vein that was allowing my father to walk and function like a normal person despite what the test results that showed his heart was functioning at a 20 percent. He took his chances and performed an open heart surgery on my father where he was able to save his life. We will forever be grateful for this man. I am happy to report that my father is happy and healthy. It has been 2 years and he feels strong and ready to take on the world. Thank you for everything, from the bottom of our hearts, Dr. Fleishman.

On October 23, 2014 I was diagnosed with an Aortic Ascending Aneurysm. I was awaiting insurance authorization for a CT Scan when on November 4 I just didn't feel right. No pain, just a feeling that things weren't quite right. I diverted my drive to work back home and asked my brother to take me to the emergency room at the local community hospital. After doing an emergency CT Scan the emergency room Dr immediately had me transferred via ambulance, siren screaming, to the Keck USC Medical Center. I have no recollection of arriving at USC as they rushed me out of the ambulance immediately into surgery. I woke up in ICU the next morning after about an 8 hour surgery the day before. Dr Fleischman, along with a great team saved my life. After having open heart surgery and all that entails when I woke up I noticed right away that first off I was alive, which quite frankly was kind of a surprise to me after finding out how bad off I was and secondly that I was not in pain from the surgery. I met other doctors there that came to check on me but Dr Fleischman was the main guy and he stood out above the rest. I cannot praise him high enough. He obviously has great surgery skills and in addition to that he has a great bedside manner about him as well. He can be humorous and compassionate when explaining your circumstances. Very honest about the prognosis and what to expect. He came to visit me several times and always the same. I've now how the follow-up appointments at his office at USC and again he is a wonderful doctor. I want to thank him immensely two months later now for doing such a wonderful job and the fact that I am still alive. Thank you Dr Fleischman!! If you need heart surgery this is your man!
