This place is not what it says it is. The casemangers do not help you with housing. It is not a treatment program. Staff has stolen items that I ordered through the mail. The ceiling is falling in in my room and all they do is replace the tiles instead of repairing the leak. I have been here 10 months and still waiting for a worker to assist me with housing.

I went to First to serve in 2013 and at that time was the best thing to happen to me, I was able to deal with a lot of my issues and understand the nature of my addiction, i have been clean and sober since then. I furthered my education and now i'm a substance abuse counselor, thanks to First To Serve and Rick Reed and Jeremiah Diaz

What a train wreck. Absolutely worthless for the individual who is trying to come up by working a legitimate job and no place to store what little they have in this world. SICKENING!! Chaos is king and the staff is queen. Continually blaming the homeless or the military for any issue with the facility yet there is no speaking to the group as a whole by either side. The military would never address the homeless with slang and have the necessary training today to not allow personal feeling interfere with duty or honor. This only leaves FIRST to serve responsible for the treatment and care of the homeless. First to serve has failed miserably in the due diligence of service to you the public and to you the homeless. I have just received word from the commander of the armory that the military has nothing to do with the property of the homeless or the rules of the operation of first to serve during the project time save for the restricted areas of the facility. Clearly there is some animosity in staff towards client concerning the voice of the client. EXAMPLE: You search for contraband and then you bottleneck the entryway with inadequate service? No one I know pulls a weapon unless they are aggravated to do so. Seems idiotic that you would not address the aggravating circumstances. It's a no brainer but I suppose you have never been homeless. HORRIBLE!
