LAIFC is the best fencing studio in Los Angeles. This photo was taken at this past weekend's scholastic tournament at Harvard Westlake, and the LAIFC kids all won or placed really well. Coach Daniel, a former Olympian is a wonderful Saber Coach and my son has been very fortunate to have him for the past 4 years. Coach Allex has been a tremendous help and has shared generously his wisdom and guidance. But one of the best things is that these kids have built a warm group bond and that support has really helped push our son forward making fencing a great life passion for him, which I only see developing more and more for us. Thank you LAIFC. And it all started with a single Groupon 4 years ago.

We like success rather than just \show\, and progress rather than just \promotion\. We like Misha and Igor. And we like three weapon clubs for lots of reasons. Here's hoping that LAIFC expands like LA Fitness and establishes uniform and informed excellence in fencing throughout SoCal. Here's a 12 year old practicing at LAIFC with Nick Itkin--doesn't get any better than that. update 3 December 2019 Must be doing something right. The medals are pouring in from competitions all over the country. He was nowhere when he started at LAIFC on August 13 and four months later he is second in Region 4 Y12 (California, Colorado, Utah and Arizona) Stay tuned for March North American Cup and Summer Nationals 2020. The relationship between veterans and coaches and youth here really motivates the youth and is unique in SoCal. All clubs have coaches but none in SoCal other than this one has all these old fencers mentoring and motivating the young fencers. Stop in any Saturday morning, and many nights, and see the show. The competitive ambiance is unique here although not unusual in some big US three weapon east coast clubs, and there is one three weapon club in northern California which has figured out what counts also.

I have been coming to LAIFC for 11 years now - as a Parent, Referee, Tournament Organizer - now I coach there. It is one of the very few top clubs in the Country that specialize in all 3 weapons. Coaches are Olympians, Olympic Coaches, World Championship medalists and World Cup finalists - they are dedicated and hard working. It takes an extremely long time to become an elite fencer; if you have time, patience and work ethic - LAIFC can make it happen.

I had a great experience in this fencing school from Groupon. Fencing is no joke - you really get a good workout from it. The instructors were very young, but their experience were up there. Would go back again if there's another groupon.

Not a fancy fitness club where people just come and go , but the place where people really learn how to fence. Coaches are professionals, therefore sometimes are very strict , but it’s worth it!
