We decided on impulse to try lunch here as it was only 12 for 2 and it was amazing value. The cod and chips was the best we'd both had for a long time with beautifully fresh cod in a light batter, a superb tartare sauce, great chips and lovely mush peas. It was washed down with a lovely crisp Sauvignon Blanc and was a superb lunch and introduction to Lostwithiel. We were so delighted with our lunch that after a frustrating attempt to eat in Fowey we returned to Calogero's in the evening and had another excellent meal. We both had the seafood pasta which was superb and brimming with fish and shellfish - including an excellent piece of hake on top. The waitress and the chef were both exceptionally helpful and friendly and we would highly recommend eating here to anyone.

Visiting lost withiel for a few days - food was delicious, service was excellent
This was an absolutely amazing find. Wonderful service and excellent value for money. But above all, fantastic food! I had a superb chicken pasta dish (Alfredo) with homemade garlic bread. A very good portion for sure and couple of large glasses of the house dry white. I left feeling that I was already looking forward to my next visit. Enough said. Congratulations to you all. It's ok but as a cafe there should be a bit more opportunity to see a menu before they serve you. Plus signs to show where toilets are. Also maybe repair things in the toilet like toilet holder I know for one I prefer my toilet roll to be on the holder not on a mucky floor same with the towel to dry hands after washing.
Visited after a recommendation, and therefore was expecting good food.. What I received in fact was Excellent food (the steak with lemon and caper butter was the best I've ever had, no exaggeration!!) and the service was fantastic too! Can't praise this place enough!
Four days in Lostwithiel this Bank Holiday, Calogero's our favourite restaurant, service and food superb. Sun Blushed tomatoes to die for!! The Chef came round to see if customers had enjoyed their food, sign of an excellent restaurant!!!
Great breakfast deal today. 2 standard cooked breakfasts including tea or coffee for 10.Very impressed by the quality and quantity - nicely presented meals. Friendly staff. We will return.
Great food - generous portions. Reasonable prices. Worth a visit!
