How lucky I was to find Anya! My family and friends are all overseas and I really needed some extra support for my first baby help navigating the American healthcare system. Anya was such a great support and helped me with everything and was available for all my questions. I loved her natural approach and gentle nature. Anya's help with my breath and coaching during the final stages of delivery were crucial and I'm just so glad to have had her there.

We were on the lookout for a doula who could provide both birth and post partum support as our families could not travel given the lockdown restrictions. We received recommendations from our OBGYN practice and also interviewed independent doulas from a directory of Austin based doulas. We were drawn to Anya’s profile because of her background as a prenatal yoga instructor, a student midwife and her own home birth experience. We had our first meeting online and felt a connect with her - both her questions and responses were very attuned to the moment and thoughtful. We also had a prenatal yoga consultation at home where I was able to review my current practice and receive feedback from Anya. She has calm and reassuring presence - her inputs are very thoughtful and she does not over-coach but allows you to discover your birthing process/preferences. The two prenatal consultations were conversational and she was very generous with her time. She was organic in recommendations and did not overwhelm us with information. I found her pointers(on products, food, practices, positions) and tips for pregnancy, labor and post birth to be very helpful. Our baby was born a week past her due date and Anya checked in with us regularly and was very responsive to any queries. When labor set in, Anya was there on time. She has a comforting touch, and quiet confidence that rubs off on you.We are grateful to have had Anya’s support with pregnancy and labor. Our family was able to travel post birth so we did not need post-partum support. Highly recommend Anya as a birth doula.

I may be the first google review, but ask anyone who knows Anya and they'll tell you that she is a fantastic doula and yoga instructor. I met her through yoga at AABC and knew she'd make an amazing doula. She brings a calming, accepting, and light-hearted spirit to the room. Once my husband and I decided to have a doula (best choice ever!) we asked Anya to meet us for coffee so my husband could get to know her as well. He instantly knew, "yes she's the right doula for us." Anya made sure to spend time with us for prenatal appointments, which never felt rushed or hurried. She has a way of making you feel like you really are her priority. Anya was available as soon as my labor started and stayed with us during a long and hard labor. She supported us when our birth plans changed. She understands how to make you feel empowered as a couple, pregnant woman, and birthing woman. Another plus about Anya is that she is training to be a midwife and brings this knowledge and passion for birth to her work as a doula. I recommend Anya to any and everyone who is looking for a doula or for yoga.
