I booked an Engine Hoist on line, checked availability - all was good. I received an order confirmation the same day. On the Day before they email me asking if the quote was ok?? I rang the online sales number and I was told the hoist was out and not available. do this lot actually know their left from right hand? You can only hire from this lot for a whole week at a time also. i probably won't bother again.

I ordered a Genie Lift SL10 great piece of kit but the service from the hire station driver who is based at the Loughborough depot was above and beyond the call of duty and I have to say your employee is a credit to your Company. Steve Beasley delivered the kit last Thursday 30th August, my wife was the only one in to take delivery and he helped her enormously by dragging the lift through a narrow entry past all sorts of obstacles and onto the back lawn . He never complained despite it being a particularly hot day and awkward task and he was courteous and polite throughout. He also gave her pointers and instructions how to use the lift and made her aware of safety precautions to adhere to before using the equipment. Steve called again today Thursday 6th September to collect the lift, this time I was in, I had just taken delivery of a stack of large 8x4 18mm ply wood , myself and my wife were trying to move it out of his way, he immediately stepped in and took my wife's place in helping me move it. Whilst working on this D.I.Y project we have come across a lot of 'jobs worth' delivery drivers Steve Beasley was a refreshing change and took customer service to the extreme.
Great price, great gear and did the job just right. Would recommend Hire Station to anyone looking for landscaping / garden renovating equipment.
gone downhill recently imho. Collection times unreliable and they started asking for ID (the previous staff knew my face).
