Firstly, to make a appointment everyone has to simultaneously ring between 8:00am-8:30am, it is purposely designed so more than two thirds of patients can't get though to make an appointment, it's a very underhanded system. And then most of the time you'll be fobbed off with a Locum Doctor, a Locum Doctor is a useless doctor that no practise wants to keep. Then be careful what medication your given, most Doctors know very little about the long term effects, as long as they get their 150k they don't care that they might be harming people with the wrong medication. Avoid senior male Doctors as they are far too arrogant and never listen, for a fighting chance of getting well you'll be better off with a female Doctor or young male Doctor, not that there is a choice at this surgery.

I have very little faith in doctors and to find an efficient one with friendly staff is very hard. I have just registered with this surgery and from the get-go they've been brilliant! So far so good. Its a relief, you have to have a good trusting relationship with your docs.

My symptoms were, pain in the thighs, flakes of skin all over the bedroom floor, tingling in arms and back when exerting or after eating, sudden bouts of sickness that greatly intensified and then became persistent, difficulty breathing after eating, blurry eyesight and memory loss. It turned out to be calcium deficiency caused by taking prescription omeprazole for a long time, the ever lowering amount of acid in my stomach caused by the medication resulted in the inability to break down essential minerals from food, eventually everything I ate became poisonous because there was not even enough stomach acid to kill the bacteria that is in all food. Bridge Street Surgery sorted me out eventually but it took a lot of pushing. During my illness I ended up right here looking at these reviews, you never know this might help someone, the medical term is 'calcium deficiency to ppi use'.

Genuinely caring staff always willing to listen to you and help you find the right treatment, won't fob you off with unneeded treatments and explain everything clearly so you understand your diagnosis. Fairly easy (within reason) to get appointments as well.
