I attended Loughborough University in 2011 as an English and Drama undergraduate, but sadly I left my course shortly into my second year in November 2012. I want to stress that the university as a whole is fantastic, and that I would never deter anyone from wanting to study here. However, it did not work for me. I experienced profound difficulties with my mental and physical health and found myself in a position where I needed to catch up with a huge amount of work. My department was made up of a range of brilliant, talented people, but in hindsight I do not think that I was supported properly in what I was going through at the time, especially now I have attended another university and had a much happier and successful time. It is a massive shame and even now I do miss the place in many ways. It offers so much socially and in sports, and the vast majority of students have a wonderful time there. I am only rating it two stars on the basis of my experience. The university itself deserves five stars in terms of its facilities and teaching overall.

It has the largest campus covering more than 300 acres of property. It is so big that there is actually a bus lane running through the campus. Allow amber time to reach your location if you are new to the campus. An umbrella is a useful tool to carry with you all the time. My daughter is really enjoying the marketing course with constant engagement with the local businesses to enrich her experience. Beautiful and quite place for study.

Amazing university landscape and great community feeling. An extraordinary amount of sports facilities and grounds which makes it extremely appealing to student athletes. Great accommodation options available as well. Very close to the town which is mostly student populated as well
