I like this place better when you can go in and sit down as it is so spacious, but currently it's only takeaway of course. They limit the number of people in the building at any time, with a queueing system outside. The staff are helpful. The coffee is nice but it's all about the tasty food! From bakery goods to savoury treats, it's all rather yummy. It is pricey compared to other options nearby but if you fancy a treat it's well worth it!

It is modern , sleek , spacious , bright , vibrant , clean , tidy , huge and organised that they keep things running smoothly in store with high level of standards. The staff are friendly , responsive , efficient , knowledgeable , attentive , professional , sociable , respectful , helpful , kind , well mannered and good communicator that they are exact definition of great staff with top quality customer service skills that makes them stand out from the most bakery store. It is pricey for a food in the store which is let down. The food is mouthwatering , flavourful , delicious , tasty , fresh , well prepared , well presented , good to eat on the move , exquisite and flawless. I have been in this store and bought turkey club sandwich for 5.50 which was overpriced but they served with professionalism and with the smile which was best the experience in the bakery industry. Their food is far more better than other bakery that I have been to so far in Loughton and Debden.

Delicious pastries, from scones to croissants! And great coffee also with a lot of space to seat

Came here for a coffee earlier in the day before a walk in Epping Forest and was desperately sad on my return to see the bins outside looking like this. I know it is a council bin - but being right outside the store there should be some responsibility to pick up a bit of the rubbish and take into their own rubbish/ recycling. It shouldn’t be the job of the taxpayer. You’d have thought with their prices they can afford appropriate waste disposal.

Anyone who knows me knows that I consistently rave about GAIL’s. However, can’t help but feel I was let down by the terrible service I received from the Loughton store a few days ago. I triple confirmed my coffee order with a milk alternative at the till and after a 10 mins wait, my coffee order came with regular milk. When I raised this, the barista would rather dig through her bin of receipts than to offer me my right order. Disappointed. Would have otherwise given one star if not for the yummy hot cross bun.

Almost 90% of the time the staff is very rude. Can never get my coffee right too considering I go there all the time. They take the order down correctly but the outcome is always wrong. When I point out the mistake they make it look like its my fault!! Lets not forget you charge me 3.30 for a coffee. I will travel a little bit further now to get the coffee I want without the attitude!!!!

Love the breakfast menu and variety, staff are friendly and I have seen the manager dealing with some tricky customers during the lockdown period in super professional manor, thanks for keeping the people of Loughton fed and watered :) x
