not great communication or listening at all. also only had half of my prescription when i came in so i had to go out of my way to make a trip back and then had to wait an additional 15 minutes. can honestly say i wont be using countdown pharmacies in the future i would much rather suppprt a locally owned business. on top of that the woman was annoyed that i wanted to stand around and wait and tried to make me take a seat. not a good customer experience.

We were at Countdown Petone on the 21 March 2020, the ladies name that helped us was Melody, we were absolutely thrown back on the way that she helped us, she was so rude, she asked if we were New Zealanders, while we were talking to her she actually turned away and helped someone else. I have never experienced this at any other Countdown.Pharmacies.

Although closing time is supposed to be 8pm, 7 days a week, it pays to arrive well before closing time because they were shut when I arrived, (close to but before 8pm) which was abit disappointing albeit it was a quiet Sunday night. On a positive note, staff are courteous and prescriptions are free which can be a a huge factor if you're price sensitive or a heavy user of meds.

Staff efficient & polite -but ZERO "above & beyond"- which, in the pharmaceutical industry (responsible for not only health & wellbeing - but the very LIVES of their customers)-SOMETIMES a little flexibility/considering an individual's circumstances (case-by-case) & arranging solutions if required...is simply part of this business. I'm QUITE sure staff want to be closed/out the door at 8.01pm....but, is it WORTH someone's LIFE?? Services should be reduced here. I'd suggest one-off (emergency) dispensing while in store only OTC retail products...a possible compromise, if staff not willing to take on full responsibility that being a primary healthcare provider entails. Up your game or down-size. Don't risk lives.
