My wife and I stayed two nights with Annette and John Their home is charming, handsome, elegantly appointed and still homey and comfortable. They are lovely people and relaxed personable hosts who authentically endeavored to make us feel comfortable. As much as the room and use of their house and grounds were wonderful, access to town and transport to Wellington facile, and the view from our window beautiful, what was most special about our stay was the warmth of their company. Really a special couple days. Thanks for opening your home and hearts!

My wife, daughter and I spent a wonderful couple of days staying with Annette and Jon in gorgeous Days Bay at the start of March 2013. We were spoiled with spectacular views of the harbour, extravagant cooked breakfasts and congenial conversation. We loved the extra touches, such as the complementary use of the iPad, access to the spa and balconies and scheduled "glass of wine time". The location is hard to beat, with easy access to the city ferry but also the sensation of getting away from it all - especially important when Wellington city itself is overrun by the patrons of the "Homegrown" festival! We'd thoroughly recommend Days Bay Homestay and would love to visit again next time we venture across the Tasman Sea.

On a whim, I went over to Day's Bay since I had 2 days to vacation. What a wonderplace, wonderful hosts, and beautiful location. You will not be disappointed. Its right on the water, and only a short walk to the little town. Good food, good company, and you'll feel like it is your own home. I suggest stayng a week, to fully relax .
