This lovely place is just 20 minutes away fron the lively city of Lucca. Hidden in the typical Tuscan green hills, this is the perfect place to spend some days surrounded by a peaceful nature. I went there for the first time on a fresh summer night to visit some friends spending their holidays there. Really intimate spot, we set the table under an olive tree and we had a great dinner by the pool. A nice refresh during the hot summer days. I highly recommend it!

Peace, privacy and happiness, this is what Batticapo di Ilaria offers to its lucky guests. This lovely house, with its private garden and swimming pool, standing at the limit of the forest, represents a truly enchanted place where you can retrieve an intimate connection with nature. I had the privilege of spending there two unforgettable months with my girlfriend in late spring/early summer of 2020. With the rest of the world filled with anxiety and fear, we lived the perfect Boccaccio’s Decameron experience. Spring showed us all its magic with its multitude of flowers and animals. My activities included birdwatching, a daily walk in the woods followed by a dive in the swimming pool, lots of reading and watching movies thanks to the excellent wifi connection, and an unmissable weekly barbecue. At night we would watch the countless stars in the sky until falling asleep. You never get bored in Batticapo di Ilaria. I strongly recommend it for a unique retreat and also as a base to explore the area. Lucca is only a 20 minutes drive away, as well as the Versilia area.

I spent 4 beatiful days in this house with friends of mine. The house is surrounded by the green hills of Tuscany in a peaceful and tranquil ambient. The house itself is quaint and cozy . During the night we watched the stars ( you can cherish thousands) light the fireplace or watched a movie with the strong wifi connection. 10/10 suggested .
