A beautifully kept not so small corner right of the walls of Lucca

The entrance is 3. Nice garden to have a relaxing walk and look at the plants. The only minus is the lack of information about the trees and plants. Just a small tag with the name of the species and that’s it. It would be nice to have a description or some sort of information about the plant.

A lovely small garden! We had spent all morning and afternoon exploring Lucca, and decided to pay the small entry fee to check out this garden. If you're a gardening expert (like some people in my group), there is apparently a lot of interesting detail, especially in the medical garden. I just like plants but am not an expert, and enjoyed my visit very much. It was a hot day, but plenty of shade, and even though it wasn't expensive, it was enough to make a big difference in how busy it was compared to the rest of Lucca (I kept seeing the same people over the day, but not in here). Huge trees that were very old, smaller unusual trees, and hilarious turtles in the pond.

What a delightful experience. Buy a ticket for just 5.00 and leave your wife there for an hour or so on her birthday. She will be safe as it's full of mostly middle aged tourists from the United Kingdom, all of whom are awfully polite. You can walk the city walls and enjoy not having to fake interest in all things botanical.

Beautiful botanical garden, a peaceful oasis away from little cars, scooters and bikes coming at you from every direction and with a vengeance. Worth the 3 euro admission fee
