Always a pleasure. The food is great, the wine is better and the service is fantastic. Pasqual has a passion for food and wine like no other. He makes sure that you have a great experience dining at his place. He makes you feel welcome and special in his own way. His staff is wonderful as well, you never have to wait long as they are attentive in a non disturbing way. The surroundings are typical for an Italian courtyard. Calm and quiet, no music, just cozy atmosphere. They speak good English and Pasqual even speaks fluent German. Make sure to book a table beforehand, as they are always filled up. Even in these Corona times they are fully booked. Enjoy!

Pasquale and his crew must have one if the smallest kitchens in town, but the food is delicious and he greets guests at every table and gives wine reccommendations. Very popular spot, so booking is advised during high/summer season. Great service in general, but during busy hours we noticed many guests had to wait 20 minutes and more for the check, including ourselves. It’s unacceptable and also very unfortunate because it may leave a bad last impression and weaken an otherwise nice experience.

Lovely restaurant with the best service we had in our whole Tuscany trip. You must reserve a table in advance! The food was very good and Pasquale was very generous with sparkling wine when we satdown, meloncello at the end and even some iced melon dessert dish as gifts of hospitality. We had risotto with red wine caramelized onions as well as a truffle burrata ravioli dish.

It’s wonderful to live in Lucca for 1.5 years and still discover new gems! This place is fantastic all around: haute cuisine, impressive selection of wine (!), cordial and attentive service - often by a very nice owner Pasquale, lovely outdoor seating, and to top it all - fair prices! This is just the first of the many times we’ll be going to this restaurant! Thanks for a wonderful experience and see you soon :)
