Lots of history so do read up before. Worthwhile being a part of a guided tour.
Just amazing for people who love history. It gave me goosebumps while walking through the place which was an active place during the Revolt of 1857. It is a must visit for people who visit Lucknow.
A must visit location for history and nature lovers. Gorgeous vintage buildings with rich past, a museum which show cases the history of Lucknow with lots of open green space. Ideal place for an afternoon picnic or a photoshoot with scenic grasslands and historical backdrop.
A remarkable place to visit, especially if you're a tourist or of you are interested in historical places. This place is filled with pre independence era vibes, it makes you feel nostalgic, it compels you to wonder about the era of nawabs, the british and the siege which took place, the hybrid combination of the british and mughal architecture brings up wonderful designs in my mind. There is also a museum inside where some artifacts and documents are preserved but photography isn't allowed. It is also a hotspot for couples and you can see them lurking here and there. All in all it is a must visit place if you are in Lucknow.
Place is awesome but I request to all who are planning to go there please keep clean this heritage place and don't through garbage anywhere .
It was an amazing visit there explore it to fullest you will surely love it do visit it's museum
This is the site of the first War of Independence and the ruins have been Preserved with cannon ball holes and bullets marks to show. It is remarkable just how much of it stands today and the IAS has done a good job with preservation. There are informational signs around the grounds and a small but informative museum. Recommended!
