Going back and forth between Ludlow and London I’ve really struggled to find a great hairdresser to meet my needs for my naturally curly and very thick Chinese hair. When I explained to Helen what I would like to cater for my natural curls but also when I want to wear my hair straight, she was totally onboard and knew exactly what needed doing to my hair. I actually went to Helen to have a hair cut 10 years ago when I was a teenager and just could never find anyone who cuts hair like Helen does! Will 10/10 recommend Helen to anybody- she’s absolutely brilliant!

A well run and creative establishment.
I was highly recommended Quintessential when I moved to Ludlow by work colleagues and friends. My hair was in the worst state it's ever been after going to another salon. I made an appointment with Helen who was very honest and explained it would take time to get my hair into a reasonable style but eventually she would get it back to how it used to be. It's been a few months now and I'm so happy with the results. I've even had colours put in by Nicole who did an excellent job for my daughters wedding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this salon. I took my 3 year old son here and the service was phenomenal. Haircut aside (which we were equally happy with), the way they dealt with a boy who had a pathological fear of haircuts, hairdressers and all things coif related was exceptional. I brought him here simply because it was near the place we were staying- we now wait until we holiday in Ludlow to visit the hairdressers. The patience with which all three members of staff dealt with the initial screaming protests was exemplary, even to the trained eye of someone who works regularly with children who others find difficult. Bravo, Quintessential, I only wish we could offer you more business and not have to wait until we are in town.
