I had my luggage destroyed by Lufthansa some time back and my attempts at sorting this out has been extremely frustrating. You can't make a claim unless you call them, but they do their jolly best to withhold their number from you. I finally got through to them just now and was greeted by a person who was incredibly unhelpful, not to mention rude and obtuse to top it up. She did not listen to what I said for one minute, made numerous statements that made it clear she had no idea what I was talking about, then when I had to repeat myself for the 5th time, I raised my voice in frustration and she just hung up. How awful can you get if you try??
