We stayed there on our wedding night - our room was stunning and all the staff we met were really friendly and to top it off breakfast was fantastic- We will probably go back on our 1st anniversary

Moya and her family have created a truly superb experience in what is one of the most beautiful parts of the South of England. The Barn and its associated bedrooms are wonderful. Light, comfortable and chic they also give you a real sense of being deep in the country. Quiet and peaceful this is the best B&B i have ever stayed in!!!! I hope it remains a little secret for quiet a while!

Beautiful building, rooms and lounge area. Good attentive staff, however, check-in time of 3:30pm is too late and check-out the following morning at 10:30 too early.

I can only surmise that the good reviews of the Barn were written back when the owners cared. Our "king suite" was a large, nicely decorated single room with no operating windows and no AC. Unbearably hot to sleep in! The outside temperature dropped to 68F but the temperature in the room stayed at 80 degrees all night. Miserable. The staff disappeared immediately after check in and were not seen again until breakfast the next morning. We went to walk around the grounds, only to find locked gates and "Private" signs everywhere-- only our room and the reception area were open to us, all the rest of the 250 acres was only for the owner's use. At check out, I told the staff person how uncomfortable we had been and was informed that many had complained but the owners had sold the whole place effective September and were not going to make changes or respond to complaints. I also mentioned that we had hoped to see the grounds, indeed had booked there specifically to enjoy the outdoors-- and was told that when the owners were in residence no Barn guests were permitted anywhere on the grounds. I suppose, if you were only looking for a place to sleep and were not staying in the summer it would be alright, but I would certainly never return.

Perfect. Agree, this the best the B&B we have ever experienced. We also enjoyed the excellent dinner served.

Fabulous second visit to this lovely barn. Shame that they do not currently offer evening meals
