Beautiful trail and amazing experience in caves. Headlamp is strongly recommended. Bring food and water as well. It was supposed to be a sunny day but turned into heavy rain. Still we enjoyed a lot.

Very fun experience! There is just one part where the water gets fairly deep, just don't get intimidated by that. I would definitely go there again and bring shoes next time, if you take your time you can go barefoot without stubbing a toe too badly. You will need a light because the cave is deep enough to be pitch black. My brother did do it without a light, but he's crazy!
Really nice walk along the lake that veers onto an unremarkable mixed use gravel path that you're on for the majority of the hike (cyclists bomb the trail routinely so watch out). The Lusk cave entrance was clogged with loitering chrowds and I couldn't even get close enough to take a picture had I wanted to. I can see this hike being a fun activity if you're camping in the area, but it's not a destination worth more than a 30min-1hr car trip (the drive to the park from Ottawa is nicer than the hike!).
If you don't mind getting a little wet, both entrances to the Cave meet up. Had a great time and would definitely come back again. Had to bike there since the gates were closed though
The hike there was actually fairly easy. We stayed on trail 50 and continues on the 54 to get to the cave. We returned the same way we came so it wasn't so bad. I never wore water shoes which is a personal preference as I enjoy balancing and navigating in my bare feet. I did stub my toes a couple of times but nothing too serious I also wore a head lamp which made it easier to navigate wih my hands. Highly reccomend for adventure goers.
