Interesting museum in beautiful surroundings. The building never feels stuffy as it has huge bay windows looking out onto the gardens and parkland. Cafe and toilets. Friendly helpful staff are always about. Have been coming here for decades, with first children and now grandchildren. I come here now for walks and runs as part of fitness regime.

A lovely house, Museum . The grounds are lovely and the ceiling in parts of this place are really lovely. It has always been a favourite place of mine to visit over the years. Lots of different sections of interest in here to look at with a lot of detailed information to read. You can't just visit this place once and get the full sense of history , you need to go back a few times to fully appreciate this place. The staff here a very friendly and always helpful . A great museum for Luton.

A beautiful house that has been tastefully renovated to display a selection of local history items and information. It is very interactive throughout so the kids can really get involved. It is set within a beautiful park so would be a lovely place to spend the day picnicking and exploring. Those visiting with children - don't miss out on the hide and squeak trail :-) Free entry, lovely little tea room and very freindly and helpful staff.

A great museum to visit and explore. Looks fantastic after the renovation. It was good before too, but now it is fab. It is nice to learn some local history, especially from the books they have in the library room, where you can see photos of areas in Luton and compare them to modern day. There are some fantastic activities running during the holidays for children. The video displays are also very informative. It feels like you've stepped back in time which, for a museum, is hitting the nail on the head. Great gardens and lake to see and walk around after the museum visit. The cafe is also good, serves a variety of foodstuffs.
