I am going to put average for this place having had a Sunday carvery here I want to say the chef at the time had the dirtiest apron on I have ever seen behind the carving meat counter to the point that it put me off going here The carvery was nice enough it’s just the cleanliness that needs improving However this was quite a long time ago and things may of changed Like they do in society Try this place you may like it but then again you may not

Amazing yummy food. The portion of chips are huge, they come in aronther bowl. This was the chicken and mushroom dish under the grill section of the menu.
First time I've visited since it reopened after lockdown. There was plenty of space between the tables and we managed to dine despite not booking and nearing the end of service. Understandably they are offering a limited menu but I was a little disappointed as the majority of the meals were served with chips and there wasn't a seasonal vegetable option. However the food was lovely, the steaks were cooked to perfection and the portions sizes weren't overwhelming. The refurbished toilets are very clean and modern and the newly enclosed outdoor space is a great use of space. I'm looking forward to future visits and seeing the refurbishment in progress.. I highly recommend this pub.

The pub has a lovely atmosphere & was relaxing & we all felt safe by the measures they have put in place. The service was excellent & the food was amazing with plenty of it. Will certainly be going back again. Well worth a visit.
