We stayed at The Dipping Shed for a week and it was marvellous! Beautiful grounds. Really quiet. Couldn't have wished for better. Highly recommended!

Lovely venue with lots of varied accommodation. Came for a wedding and stayed in the caravan. Nice and cosy. Thank you!

We had a lovely week in the cabin in the walled garden. Beautiful setting and very well looked after with great attention to detail. There is a large woodland on the doorstep with hidden hurts, cabins and small play areas / swings for the kids. Stokesay Castle nearby was a nice day out and we can also recommend the Thyme Cafe in nearby Bishop’s Castle (where there is also a handy CoOp) is also highly recommended. The big ‘Leave Means Leave’ banner on the side of the nearby Powis Arms was an unnecessary detractor from the experience but overall it was a great getaway and I’m sure we’ll be back in the future. Highly recommended!

An incredible location but the glamping fell short of other offerings in the UK at a similar price point (see Nash End Farm Hideaway). There's no lighting in the yurts which meant after dark (which is early this time of year) you had to do everything in torchlight. The facilities were also a bit questionable. We were in one of the yurts in the field and the kitchen was just a shed with a few cooking bits. No hob or any way of actually cooking and no basics like salt and pepper as advertised. Disappointing

I travel UK wide and further afield photographing weddings and having photographed two, thus far, at Walcot Hall I can attest to the fact that not only does it provide a fantastic environment for such occasions in a visual sense but that also it has amongst the very best wedding coordination teams that I have come across in my travels, utterly attentive to their clients' needs; they have developed the alleviation of stress into an art form.

Walcot Hall is an amazing venue with beautiful grounds and gorgeous buildings, however it is the fantastic staff at Walcot Hall which set it apart from the rest by a mile. We originally booked 2 years in advance of our planned 2020 date and the whole process was made effortless by Lucieanne. We had help when needed and were also left alone when there was nothing to do which suited us very well. When the coronavirus pandemic meant our wedding was suddenly restricted to just 15 people Luke and the team helped us through the difficulties of planning and replanning. In the end we had a beautiful day with our ceremony in the main hall overlooking the gorgeous Shropshire countryside. The team made sure all the rules could be followed without impacting on the flow of the day. We were still able to have free reign of the grounds after the ceremony which meant we could have beautiful photographs to share with the friends and family who couldn’t be there. We would definitely recommend Walcot to other couples!
