Fantastic place for scouts and explores. We hired the place for the Sunday night to do our D of E Silver Expedition Practice. The hut is very clean and with an amazing kitchen. All the utensils you can think of. It also heated which is also a bonus if you have very cold nights. Also it is in a great location in the centre of the Forest of Dean.

Great base for short stay Lodge is a bit cluttered, small tent pitch area is very rocky. Good base for Forest walks or cycle rides. Next door to small activity area (climb and Absail) that can be booked via Bristol City Council.

Very nice place to have a group camp, or sleep in the hut. Fire pit is handy for late-night chin wag with a few beers.
