one of the best places to see different species of birds in New Jersey. i would say a nice and quiet place for birding in middle of crowded NJ roads :). around 220 types of bird species can be observed here through out the year including, Seagulls, Swans, Egrets, Herons, wrens, wood ducks, Terns and etc are few among the huge list i could remember from Audubon listings. definitely a good place to go for a walk or bird watching and photographing.

Bit of an unpleasant sulfur smell and some brutal wind on a cold day, but really nice scenic walk with birds and view of Manhattan beyond the nature. Flat trails make this stroller friendly and great for kids.

This park is just gorgeous. Amazing views of nature but also civilization; powerlines, the city and traffic, but all at a distance. Some great wildlife too. Beautiful paths, and I think a nature center or something that wasn't open when we went. Kind of hard to believe this park exists where it does.

Walk among tidal pools with great views of NYC (and a nearby former landfill.) Birds love this place and there's an area that is only open in colder months where the birds breed in warmer weather.

This park is an awesome place for some nice peaceful walk and lovely bird watching. This place reminds us why the Marshlands are important for a stable ecology. The NJSEA has done a fabulous job at making this place feel a true natural preserve. In summer there are tons of butterflies and lovely birds. To our surprise we have even spotted peregrine falcon at this park. A lot of isolated places throughout the park to sit and relax in peace. A must visit place in the lockdownor otherwise.
