A great draw for the town. A massive range of stalls present the wares of local producers, so cheese, fruit & veg, beer and craft-work tempt the throng. Parking nearby is usually free and live music often features in the square. The town's excellent pubs provide somewhere for a bite and a local ale to refresh the visitor.

Excellent street market. Much bigger than I expected. Bought some flavoured gin, antiques, weird flavour sausages.. including duck rhubarb gin and squirrel ! Super atmosphere . Huge diversity of stalls. I will definitely put in on my calendar to come again. I travelled for about 45 minutes to get there and well worth the trouble.
Very interesting, well worth a visit. It was quite small (due to covid) but had a lovely atmosphere all the same
Predictably busy so impossible to social distance. Lots of people wearing face coverings outdoors but this needs to be enforced or really visibly recommended so that the majority do (probably not achievable at the local level, needs government legislation...but maybe some signage and more encouragement on social media?). It was great to see Macclesfield thriving again, just slightly concerned at how unsafe it might've been.
Busy local artisan/craft/vintage/hipster/food market selling a variety of items, nice to walk round, I particularly enjoyed the Black Pudding.
