Absolutely love everything about this store. From the fun unique shop (that floor!), the staff, and the high quality products they sell. So many times when I travel to areas like Mackinac, the merchandise is the same cheap products sold at every other shop with the same boring logos. Then you are lucky if they make it through a couple of washes before the logos fall off and it ends up in the trash. Threads offers unique high quality offerings and unique designs that are only found at their shop. The items I have bought have survived numerous washings and still look great a year later. I have even ordered more shirts, sweatshirts, and a couple of hats on their website to get my Mackinac fix during this crazy year. I get lots of compliments when I wear these products and I have even purchased a few items as gifts. Chatted up the staff and found that this is a family owned and operated shop that had just opened a week before my visit. Everyone I met was helpful and was very knowledgeable of the products. If you are visiting Mackinac Island and are looking for something other than the same cheap "cookie-cutter" products sold everywhere else, you need to stop at Threads.

I stopped and bought a hat and shirt today. The other shirt stores on the island seem cheap and hokey. The designs at Threads are cool and unique. Its unlike any other Mackinac shop. My wife went, bought a sweater for our daughter, and then told me to go check it out! Glad I did!

Hands down the best service and most friendly visit of any shop on the island — I would seriously question any review on here stating otherwise. Marty and Micah are awesome and the clothes are great. Highly recommend!

Mackinac Island is on to-do list when summer is in full-swing, and Threads of Mackinac has been a welcome newcomer to the scene. We always make sure to stop by the shop on our visit and grab some apparel that celebrates the beauty of Mackinac Island. I've also purchased products online for Christmas and Birthday gifts and love that they work to craft products with a story.

Threads of Mackinac is so different from all the other clothing shops on the Island. The shops on the Main Street tend to have similar and generic designs. I love that Treads has personally designed shirts that are beautiful and comfortable. My new favorite!

This was the first year in 15 years that we were not able to go to Mackinac Island. I wanted to get my husband a new t-shirt for his birthday as a surprise. I ordered (via website) a blue/gold short sleeve t-shirt with the simple Macinac (M) logo. I was contacted ny the owner and told that they did not have the shirt I ordered in stock due to a vendor issue. I was given the offer to choose anything I wanted for my husband and they would expedite shipping. How awesome is that!! I chose the same t-shirt that I originally ordered, but in gold/blue. Micah shipped me the gold/blue t-shirt AND a long sleeve blue/white t-shirt with the Mackinac Island (with horses) logo!! The package came within a day or so and I was so surprised to see TWO shirts. The quality of the t-shirts is great! I can't wait to shop at Threads of Mackinac next year in person and to say thank you to Micah in person. My husband loves his new shirts!
