Very clean and spacious facility Friendly and helpful staff. I was actually drawn to this place by some people who were protesting them. I found myself in the comments section of the post and was just astounded by the number of positive things people had to say in defense of this business. I took one of my dogs there soon after and was glad I did. Thank you Madera Veterinary Center!

I called this practice early this morning and explained my wife and I had rescued a malnourished cat abandoned in a field 10 days ago. The cat had been doing well until 2 days ago. It kept drinking, but suddenly would not eat. When I called, I explained the cat was weakened, and in a bad way. The office clerk, Adele, said they had no openings. I said I have a Dr. appointment in Fresno at 12:30 and asked may I at least drop the cat off to be evaluated? She said she would discuss it with her doctor and call me back, she never did. At 11:00 a.m. I had not heard back, and went to my doctor appointment. When I returned home at 3:00 pm, I had no message back from this hospital. I called them, Adele said they had been “extremely busy, and taking care of emergencies.” I replied I had an emergency as well. I asked will you see my cat today, she said “no, they were too busy.” I said are you then saying I have to go to a Fresno Pet ER now,? She said “yes.” My wife and I immediately loaded the cat into the car and went to Fresno. When we arrived, they spent an hour administering IV fluids, antibiotics, and oxygen and said he was in irreversible shock....We euthanized our rescue, sadly... Although our niece had praises about this practice in Madera taking care of her diabetic dog, they utterly failed us...We are huge pet advocates and have rescued many dogs and cats with success. When we choose to do so, we go all out, unless it is hopeless. Sadly, this experience was hugely disappointing and I will forever have disdain for the unprofessional conduct shown towards me, and my pet in this time of crisis...

They are wonderful people and they seem to genuinely care about our babies! I have 4 dogs an 2 cats an they are great with them. I wouldn't take them anywhere else that's for sure! So it makes me feel so much better knowing that I have a wonderful vet that I can take them to. So thank you soooo much
