This is a great place to have in the community. They have been doing good things for many years and partner with Madison College and other organizations to make huge impacts in our local community.

I volunteered for the Literacy Network for about a year. My experience was fantastic in so many ways--obviously, the pay off in working with my learner and seeing her advance toward her goal was the biggest reward, but I reaped benefits as a volunteer in many other ways. For example, in volunteer training, I learned methods to teach reading, which I was then able to use to effectively teach my toddler to read. This is a great organization which I know firsthand believes passionately in its cause and its people and I still donate to the cause.

My experience with Literacy Network as a volunteer was a pleasure. The volunteer coordinator Shawn found a perfect position for me (Data Entry), and I was welcomed into the office every time I came in to volunteer. During my time as a volunteer I learned so much about LN: the dedication of their staff to promoting literacy in our community, the opportunities for learners and volunteers from all different walks of life to work together to increase literacy, and the wide variety of learners who were helped through the programs offered. It was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend Literacy Network to anyone looking to volunteer in our community.
