They know guitars. Very open to discuss even with a novice. I do recommend talking to the son, Ruben as he is patient and transparent. I may get a custom made here, lets see. If its as professional as it seems it will definitely go to 5 stars! Otherwise ill stick to 4 as my first experience with the father was a little bit different as he’s probably tired with dealing with novice guitarists. Update...unfortunately after a week no follow up..i was sooo looking forward to a custom guitar..nicked down one more star

As soon as we entered we were greeted by Rubén Pérez which is the son of Pedro Pérez. He was super informative, knowledgeable and went out of his way to answer all our questions. Very courteous and he gave us lots of Information about flamenco guitars. He even gave my son a playlist of flamenco music to listen to. He let my son play the guitars and he even showed us how to differentiate between a Spanish made and Chinese made guitar. Overall, my son and I had an amazing experience here and all thanks to Ruben. Perez Sr. would be proud to see his son taking such good care of his legacy . Highly recommended Luthier.

my bucket list included a hand maid guitar bought in Madrid , i had tried a few local Luther's in the area. i am not a professional but my love for quality tone is a must. from the time i walked in their door i felt welcome. allowed me to play what i wanted and let the guitar pick me. and at 250 to- euros their were many to chose from. they all played well, but one felt and sounded extra mellow and said take me home. it ran 460 with hard case. walking down the street a beautiful Spanish girl short of breath ran up to me and asked where i bought the guitara .a younger dream come true. ( in my excitement i left my credit card behind . good shop to start at. the other shops treated me with less respect, thank you this guitar will be handed down and loved for years. 10/29/19 many years later still plays and sounds better than ever. looking forward to return for another one, so i can give it to my grandchildren.
