Chueca the centre of gay village in Madrid hosted this year's pride weekend and what a weekend it was. Packed with people all very happy and mostly slightly drink roaming the network of small streets that made it even more exciting and real. Music bounced off the buildings and was taken up by the crowds. The Police did a wonderful job of controlling the mass of crowds both inside the area and a the control points, very helpful although a very difficult job done well.

well, its sunday and no shops nor restaurants are open, i wished i coulve been here on weekdays so i enjoy window shopping
Un sitio pintoresco, alegre con mucha vida. Very nice place to have a drink or snacks, informal and relaxed... You can access through the Chueca metro station, line n5
I put 4 stars instead of 5 because I expected from the gay area of Madrid more people, more energy but maybe it was so calm because it was January. Althought i had great moment drinking my beer at the plaza and visiting some gay shops
Overcrowded as hell... Not recommended if you are scared of COVID, otherwise its full of tables to drink your daily cofee
