This plaza in is named in honour of Jacinto Benavente, the Spanish dramatists and 1922 Nobel Prize winner for literature. As usual with plazas around Spain, there's plenty of restaurants and cafes around the square. This plaza is also in a busy part of Madrid and many of the size streets leading to and from the plaza also has plenty of of places to eat and shop. As plazas in Spain go, there's nothing really notable about this plaza other than the aforementioned distractions. There's is however a rather interesting bronze sculpture in the square of a road sweeper replete with a a bronze sweeper and rubbish attached. A very popular selfie attraction on it's own.

The Metropolis is a great building and the square is quite beautiful. If you want to check out Madrid skyline nearby, there is the museum of fine arts where you can go on top with 3.
Enjoy the bar in the sunshine with the litre beers. Can imagine it's a bit lore grim in worse weather, but while the sun is out its worth the visit. Good meeting place too if staying close by
Single statue, nothing special on the theatre (on other photos there is like spider and those legs) but nothing this time. Of course a lot of restaurants etc. And renovated buildings
It's a crowded plaza.
