Steak, steak and more steak! Whilst eating red meat may well be a less frequent pastime for many of us, on the rare occasions that you may choose to do so, I can highly recommend Membibre. One is left in no doubt what is on the menu when looking in the restaurants window, which is more akin to a high class butchers than fine dining, with various cuts on display. Steak can be ordered by the kilo and cooked to your requirements, add a classic Rioja from their excellent wine list and as a carnivore you can't go wrong!

The service here was amazing. The waiter recommended three dishes to us and we loved all of them. The wine he recommended was also delicious. The food was fresh, tasty an the ambience went from casual to more formal depending on which area of the restaurant you sat in. All in all, 5 stars!

Excellent fish. Very fresh, prepared right. Don’t know how they were able to crisp up the skin so nicely on my turbot, but it made a delicious piece of fish even better.

Very good food! But the wine list and the sommelier really make me want to come back, a simple wine list with depth and very interesting wines - priced very fairly and with some great surprises like Malus Mama! Worth the visit! Both either the restaurant or the high Tops!

Traditional place now under cuisine renovation, with creative (and fantastic, in general) starters and high quality products for main dishes. Absolutely impressive gambas a la sartén or verduras naturales con criollo, beautiful croquetas. Urta is also great. Service is a attentive but a bit slow on a busy Saturday lunch, with inside and outside (sidewalk) tables pretty full. Probably a must in Madrid this year
